Cleanfix - ‘Top-class performance in cleanliness’
Christoph Loosli – innovator and entrepreneur
Christoph Loosli is one of the inventors and entrepreneurs who contributed greatly to the cleaning industry He showed great dedication and commitment in implementing his ideas.
In 1976 the 33-year-old Loosli found the existing carpet cleaning in Europe very old-fashioned and started importing spray extraction machines from the US to Switzerland and sold them in Switzerland and neighbour countries. To ensure the quality that was needed, he started to develop his own product ideas (e.g. TW200) and brought them to market.
In 1977 the company bought an existing facility in Henau, where the enterprise still has its headquarters. At this time the company manufactures spray extraction machines and beds for handicapped people, amongst other things. The facility was continuously expanded and includes today over 20’000 m2 of offices and production space.
Internationalisation
In 1978 Cleanfix founds the first foreign subsidiary in Germany, followed by France and Austria. Internationalisation then consistently moves forward. In 2010 Cleanfix is represented in 6 countries with its own subsidiaries, and in over 80 countries worldwide with partnerships, earning 85 % of its turnover in foreign countries.
Growth through innovation
In 1981 Cleanfix started a partnership with Hagerty and rented out several thousands carpet cleaning machines all over Europe.
In 1989 the company expands it product line to include general cleaning products, starting with the application areas of small push sweeping machines. The programme is gradually supplemented by wet and dry vacuum cleaners, scrubber dryers, steam cleaners, single disc machines and cleaning agents.
Milestones in the history of Cleanfix include the introduction of the first scrubbing machine, the RA450, in 1983, in 1993 the product line is expanded to include own produced pumps. In 1992 the vacuum cleaner S10 was introduced and in 1997 the production of the single disc manufacturer ‘SELCO’ was bought and moved to Henau.
In 2009 the world's first fully autonomous scrubbing robot, the Robo40, is launched on the market.
